During a solo sailing trip to the remote Ascension Island, German doctor Rieke (Susanne Wolff) picks up a distress signal from a sinking boat full of refugees. She reports the shipwreck to the coast guard, who instruct her to wait and not interfere. With help hours away, Rieke feels compelled to intervene, but she must come up with a way to tackle the impossible task of rescuing 100 people with her small yacht. Directed by Wolfgang Fischer. Based on a true story.
