Synopsis by Hal Erickson
The Dragonfly of the title is Georgian student (Lina Abashidze). Preferring singing to studying, Lina is invited to leave school. She has the last laugh by becoming a successful chicken farmer. She also manages to land a worthwhile husband named Shota (S. Gambashidze). A rarity of the mid-1950s Soviet Cinema, The Dragonfly celebrates such bourgeois notions as self-determination and frivolity.
