Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Debuting October 24, 1988 on BBC1, the British sitcom Streets Apart starred James Hazeldine as Bernie and Amanda Redman as Sylvie. Sweethearts during their teenage years, Bernie and Sylvie eventually drifted apart, only to be brought back together by chance over two decades later. By that time, Bernie was a widowed cabdriver and the father of two kids, while Sylvia was a wealthy and prominent literary agent. Would sparks fly again, or had too much water passed under the bridge? The 12th and final half-hour episode of Streets Apart was telecast on October 4, 1989.
