Synopsis by Michael Hastings

Over numerous pints at a pub in Dallas, TX, a group of transplanted U.K. natives had the notion to put together a slapdash parody of Mel Gibson's Scottish-patriot epic Braveheart, and their results can be seen in the anarchic comedy Strangeheart. Taking its cues from the Airplane films as well as Monty Python or even Rocky Horror, Strangeheart retells the story of Scotsman William Wallace's fight against the English, taking even more liberties with the story than the original filmmakers. Sex jokes, flatulence, and elaborate physical gags involving sheep ensue. Over 200 patrons from two drinking establishments in Dallas joined in as extras for the climactic, chaotic battle spoofs.
