Synopsis by Heather M. Fierst
For decades, when children have a bad day, they have turned to the pages of Judith Viorst's hilarious book Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day for consolation. A multiple award-winning video from Sony Wonder, Alexander is the story of a boy whose day just keeps getting worse from the moment he wakes up with gum in his hair. He fights with his brother, breaks his favorite toy, gets in trouble with his parents, and with each mishap, he proclaims "That's it. I'm moving to Australia!" But at the end of the story, Alexander's mom reminds him that everyone has days like this -- even in Australia. This is a great learning tool to teach young children about dealing with anger and the unpredictability of life. Recommended for ages three to seven. This video has received the following awards: Bronze Medal -- Houston International Film & Video Festival, Bronze Apple -- National Educational Film & Video Festival, Bronze Plaque -- Columbus International Film & Video Festival, and the Parents' Choice Award.
