Synopsis by Nathan Southern

Following its inception in Leicestershire, England in the early '60s, the Triumph-manufactured Bonneville motorcycle became synonymous 'round the world with speed, sleekness, and power. The documentary program Story of the Triumph Bonneville travels back to the genesis of this legendary chopper to witness its origins and early development. It includes extended footage of early Bonneville models from 1959, 1962, 1963 and 1971, the 1965 Thruxton, the 1966 TT, the Trackmaster, the U.S. and UK Silver Jubilees and Royal Wedding 140D, the T140V and the T140AV, the Bonneville Executive, the TS8-1, the TSX, and the Millennium's Bonneville as they appear on the road, in action. The program also features appearances by (and interviews with) such world-champion Bonneville riders as Freddie Cooper, Clyde Cardy, and Mick Barton, as well as interviews with The Ton-Up Boys.
