Clyde Cook stars in this Hal Roach comedy, and his excellent support includes Caesare Gravina and Tiny Sanford. Cook is a wandering musician -- he plays a big bass horn and his partner has a portable organ. They play in the streets, trying to eke out a living. It's Christmas Eve, and they have no food or shelter. The night is cold, so cold that Cook has to wear mittens while he plays, and a storm is starting to blow. After several slapstick attempts to find a place for the night, the pair are hired as entertainers in a cabaret. They only have the gig for a few minutes, however, when they are kicked out into the street. If elements of this film bear a strong resemblance to the 1930 Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy film Below Zero, it isn't surprising -- after all, Laurel and Hardy were also members of the Hal Roach team.
