Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

An undocumented Mexican maid searches for her autistic teenage son in the New York City subway system as Hurricane Sandy bears down on the Eastern Seaboard in this drama from director Sam Fleischner (Cave Flower, What They Do). Ricky is a highly-imaginative 13-year-old boy with severe autism. An outcast in school, Ricky fears the punishment his mother will mete out one day after she admonishes him for ditching class. Frightened, he vanishes into the subway, where he is forced to come out of his comfort zone in order to survive. Meanwhile, on the surface, Ricky's mother ventures out into the neighborhood to find him. When days go by with no sign of Ricky, his panicked mother begins to fear the worst. The situation turns critical when weather reports indicate that Hurricane Sandy will soon arrive in the city, and as the lost teen summons all his bravery to survive the harrowing ordeal, his desperate mother discovers just how far the members of her community are willing to go in order to help one another in times of need.
