Synopsis by Sandra Brennan
This bitter comedy chronicles a few days in the life of an aimless LA youth who is having such a miserable time that even bad luck would be an improvement over his current situation. Though Leonard is only in his twenties he is already beaten down by life. Unfortunately, things get worse. First his much-hated job takes a nose dive. Then his parents sell his bed to get him out of the house. Poor Leonard goes to his girl friend for solace and only gets physical and mental abuse. In desperation, he decides to go to Texas in his beloved car. Just before he goes, it gets stolen. To make it worse, he thinks his friends have done it as part of a conspiracy that includes driving the vehicle past him at a distance precisely engineered to be just out of his reach. At last rage arises in Leonard who for the first time feels motivated to do something about his dreadful life situation.
