Synopsis by Hal Erickson
The British series Squadron was the saga of a group of "rapid deployment" RAF pilots. Since the action took place during peacetime, the flyers were co-educational, with at least one female (Flight Lt. Director Susan Young) figuring as prominently in the action as her male colleagues. The weekly, 50-minute series was created by Alistair Balfour and Peter May. The first of Squadron's ten episodes was telecast by the BBC on October 19, 1982.
