A lonely schoolgirl turns to lovers and friends to keep from sinking into further despair in this somber drama. Her crises never amount to more than the usual teenage angst afflicting most people her own age. Shown at the 1967 Venice Film Festival, the feature was representative of the New Wave that influenced West German cinema at the time.
