The news of the network's impending sale has left everyone on the Sports Night crew very skittish. Dana (Felicity Huffman) scolds Dan (Josh Charles), Casey (Peter Krause), Natalie (Sabrina Lloyd), and Jeremy (Joshua Malina) for an on-air joke everyone had a hand in creating that may be misconstrued as an insult by a particular potential buyer of the network. After heading down to the bar after the evening show, Natalie gets drunk and admits she still carries a flame for Jeremy and the two get into another argument. Dana flees the table and meets a stranger at the bar who makes some strong assertions about one of the companies bidding on her network. Back in the office the next day, Dana discusses this weird conversation with Isaac (Robert Guillaume) and the two ponder what their futures may hold -- including the possibility of a job for Dana, Dan, and Casey on the West Coast. After finishing the evening's show, the gang once again heads to the bar where Dana runs into the stranger again -- and yet again the stranger makes a prediction about the future of the network.
