Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

At a time when partisan politics are dividing the United States into the Divided States, filmmaker Kelly Nyks explores that way that ways that this intense polarization is preventing the country from addressing the issues that will truly determine the course of its future. Conversations with a number of politicians and popular figures including Senator Chuck Hagel, Senator Evan Bayh, FOX News' Tucker Carlson, MSNBC's Ezra Klein, The New York Times' Nicholas Kristof, The Wall Street Journal's Thomas Frank, Noam Chomsky, and Robert Putnam ponder the potentially destructive effects of failing to find a common ground as fellow citizens, and allowing our outrage to become a distraction during times of intense social unrest.
