Synopsis by Janiss Garza
When chorus girl Nell Gordon (Madlaine Traverse) is betrayed by a married man, she becomes hard and bitter. Eventually, she drifts from New York to the decadent Western town of Gehenna where she's the star of the cabaret. Reverend Josiah Calvin (Charles Smiley) comes to clean up the town and is met with derision all around. Nell, however, changes her mind and decides to help him instigate reform -- even if she has to break each and every liquor bottle to do it. Prohibition had just recently gone into effect when this picture was released, so cynical, disgruntled filmgoers did not take kindly to it.
