Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Teenager Davy Glidden (Jack Pickford) is pals with the elderly Captain Jerico Norton (L.M. Wells), who lives at the old soldiers' home that Davy's father (G.H. Geldert) runs. The unlikely friends discover a plot by two German spies, Carl Bender (James Farley) and Frank Schmale (Seymour Hastings), to create a disturbance at a local mine. Davy, the Captain and the rest of the old soldiers put a halt to this scheme. Davy's reward is a kiss from the "older woman" he adores, Flora Edwards (Katherine McDonald). Flora's lazy fiancé, Randall Lee (Ashton Dearholt), is also caught up in the patriotic spirit and enlists in the service. This lighthearted bit of World War I propaganda was directed by William Desmond Taylor, who worked on a number of films with Jack Pickford, whose sister was silent superstar Mary Pickford.
