Synopsis by Alice Day
For about 2,000 years, people believed the Earth to be the center of the solar system, and that everything revolved around the planet. In the 16th century, Polish astronomer Copernicus revealed a revolutionary theory -- that the planets revolve around the sun. Space Science in Action: Sun looks at this star that makes life possible on Earth, with the help of two young scientists-to-be, Malcolm and Stanley. Many facts are delivered in this program, but a certain amount of lightheartedness is also included. The accompanying teacher's guide is full of resources for further study.
