Synopsis by Alice Day

The stars have intrigued humankind since the beginning of time, and ancient man made up stories about them in an attempt to understand their significance. Many stars still have the names given to them by ancient astronomers, and in Space Science in Action: Stars, science students in grades five through eight can learn facts about these distant objects of fascination. The two heroes of this series, Malcolm and Stanley, continue to study various aspects of space science, and look at the instruments modern astronomers use to study the age and activity of stars.
