Synopsis by Sandra Brennan
An old shepherd reflects upon his life and the choices he made in this thoughtful, poetic drama from Turkmenistan. The story unfolds with flashbacks and fantasy sequences while old Sadyk and his devoted wife walk and talk. He and his brother both grew up when the Soviets controlled their country. While his brother toed the Party line, Sadyk was considered a rebel and spent much of his life in a remote gulag. Upon his return, he became a shepherd.
