Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Jane (Cleo Madison -- also the film's co-director) has had a rough life and is working in a factory. Ambrose, the owner (Alfred Allen) lusts after her, and because she is tired of the drudgery, she agrees to become his mistress. He puts her up in a lavish apartment and buys her nice clothes. But she drifts from him to the more attractive Paul Kent (Douglas Gerrard), who skirts the uncomfortable issue of marriage. Jane is beginning to find her new life unbearable, and when she meets Richard Newton (Tom Chatterton), she thinks she has found a way out. They fall in love and marry although he knows nothing of her past. Eventually, however, he finds out the truth and angrily leaves her. But then he ponders his own past, when he betrayed a girl, Nellie (Marguerite Gibson), who then killed herself. Realizing that he is not above reproach, he returns to his slightly tarnished wife.
