Synopsis by Janiss Garza
After Italian Countess Angelica de Vecchio (Ora Carew) tells how Prince Candoni (Herschel Mayall) has oppressed the people, Beatrice, a nun (Bessie Barriscale), decides to leave the convent and do good work in the outside world. She marries Guido Perli (William Desmond), the leader of a group of revolutionaries, and her influence keeps the group from resorting to out-and-out violence. But a misunderstanding parts the couple, and Guido incites a mob to head for the Prince's palace. She goes to warn the Prince, who is nevertheless assassinated by the Countess' lover, Carlo Parodi (Wedgwood Nowell). Guido is fatally wounded and dies in Beatrice's arms.
