Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein
A rare surviving comedy from independent producer Chrystal, this one-reeler features a very young Oliver Hardy as one of three strangers descending on the home of Trixie Gale. While out for a stroll past a construction site, the unfortunate Trixie gets a piece of dry mortar in her eye and a bookish youngster, a bogus count, and a grocery clerk (Hardy) all mistake her winking as an invitation. Entertaining her three uninvited suitors, Trixie's father, the notorious Dead Eye of Texas, arrives unexpectedly. The fearful elder mistakes the three guests for burglars and a furious chase ensues. Trixie, however, manages to calm the waters by explaining that the men are there to propose marriage. She decides to accept the strongest, assuming that the hefty grocery clerk is sure to win. Foul play almost is about to ruin this plan and Trixie and the grocer elope.
