Synopsis by Gönül Dönmez-Colin
Solgun Bir Sari Gül is the story of Turgut, a thirty-five-year-old tour guide who takes small groups around Istanbul. He is very friendly with his neighbor, Ms. Sen, a lady who repairs antique objects. Unfortunately, he is not so lucky with his girlfriend. One day, he accompanies Ms. Sen on a visit to a house where she wants to examine special items to procure for the daughter of a Saudi family, and Turgut's life changes dramatically after meeting the owner of the house. A melodrama which tends to linger on far-fetched details, Solgun Sari Bir Gül has its tender moments when it is not trying to be pretentious.
