Synopsis by Matthew Tobey
Not to be confused with Andrei Tarkovsky's 1972 Russian sci-fi classic of the same name, nor the 2002 remake of that film starring George Clooney, this Solaris is a three-and-a-half-hour program originally produced in 1978. It features an ambient collection of natural imagery set to music. Among the scenes captured are a sunrise and floating mists. Solaris was produced for the 1978 Sun Day Celebration.
