Synopsis by Mark Deming

One of Argentina's most popular rock bands through the 1980s and '90s, Soda Stereo were a trio heavily influenced by new wave bands from the United States and the U.K., and their adventurous style opened the gates for alternative rock in Latin America before they broke up in 1997. Soda Stereo: Una Parte de la Euforia is a documentary on the history of the group that features interviews with the band, concert performances, television appearances, backstage footage, rare photographs, and more.
