Synopsis by Janiss Garza

This Universal drama starred minor mid-1910s star Grace Cunard. Lena Rogers (Cunard) supports herself and her brother Paul (William Musgrave) by working as a fortune teller. Paul is falsely accused of stealing a woman's pocketbook, and Judge Grant (Joseph Girard) sentences him to prison. When he refuses to listen to Lena's pleas, she swears revenge. She gets her chance a few years later when Grant becomes a corporate lawyer and becomes involved in graft. Lena, now working at a modiste's shop, invites Grant's attentions. When he proposes she accepts, but she has already fallen in love with his brother, reporter Tison Grant (Charles West). She marries Tyson instead and is furious when he hesitates at exposing his brother's crooked schemes. Lena returns to her own apartment, where she finds Paul, who has just gotten out of jail. Now a dope fiend, he heads over to Grant's house and shoots him. Lena tries to take responsibility for the deed, but Paul dies and Grant recovers from his wound. She and Tyson reconcile and Grant changes his ways.
