Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Arthur Kerran (William Buckley) and his sister have migrated from the Connecticut countryside to New York. Arthur becomes engaged to a society girl, Louise deWitt (Eva Novak). Louise's aunt is prodding her to check out Arthur's parents (George Berrell and Gertrude Claire), but he seems reluctant to let her meet them. Actually he is ashamed of them because they are old-fashioned and their country manners are crude. Louise decides to investigate on her own, and when she meets the Kerrans, they don't realize she's Arthur's fiancee and confide in her about their son's embarrassment. Louise helps them out by showing them how to be real New Yorkers. So when they make a surprise Christmas visit, Pa is using a cigarette holder and Ma is dressed like a flapper. They find out that the little girl who advised them is engaged to their boy, and everyone is happy.
