A strange trip inside the minds of rabid eight-track collectors, So Wrong, They're Right cracks open the minds of obsessive individuals who have embraced the failed format as an act of self-expression. Filmed in various spots around America, every story features interesting real-life characters and their fixation with the usually extreme lifestyle they've created for themselves. From a stack of thousands of eight-tracks to the storage space in Portland that serves as a kitschy lounge, the range of collections span the gamut, as do the musical choices themselves. From Tiny Tim's entire eight-track catalogue from his former fan-club president to the varying mod-looking eight-track players, you're sure to see something wild in this flick that you won't forget. And whether they've grown up with the defunct format or not, these people's hang-ups end up defining their existence, which in a way, gives the whole trip a bit of a life-affirming quality as well as a frank warning for those that continue to feed their own growing obsessions.
