Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Christopher Reeve makes one of his last television appearances in the role of Dr. Virgil Swann, a reclusive scientist who is obsessed with the extraterrestrial heritage of young Clark Kent (Tom Welling). The bizarre behavior of his adoptive father, Jonathan (John Schneider), leads Clark to believe that Jonathan is channelling messages from his Kryptonian birth father, Jor-El. Clark follows the trail of evidence to Dr. Swann, who has entered into a strange bargain with the cancer-ridden Lionel Luthor (John Glover). In one of the story's more curious developments, Lionel's son, Lex (Michael Rosenbaum), finds that he is able to speak perfect German.
