Synopsis by Hal Erickson
A strong Anglo-American cast graced the now-obscure British TV series Small World. Denis Lawson starred as a young, naive novelist who embarked upon his first lecture tour in Ireland. If the hero was naive to begin with, he was brought kicking and screaming into the "real" literary world by the eccentric and obnoxious behavior of his fellow authors. Also in the cast was American comic actor John Ratzenberger, of Cheers fame. Described as a comedy-drama, the six-episode Small World was beamed out by Granada Television in 1987.
