Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Instead of playing the femme fatale, silent star Pauline Frederick tried a different type of role in this melodramatic feature. Zelma Bryce (Frederick) has a faithless husband, Edward (John Sainpolis), who wants to dump her for his secretary (Helen Dahl). For religious reasons, Zelma doesn't want to divorce, so she takes their child (Maury Stewart) and runs off. Edward has a detective (Joseph Smiley) steal the boy and hide him. He tells Zelda she will get him back only if she agrees to the divorce. In a frenzy, she returns home with a gun and finds the secretary living there. An argument breaks out and Edward is shot and killed. Zelda is put on trial, but the true circumstances of the situation come out, and with the help of her handsome lawyer (Thomas Meighan), she is acquitted.
