Synopsis by Tracie Cooper

Directed by Paul Jenkins, Slaves of the Sword: Ariel Sharon chronicles the life and career of the ever-controversial prime minister of Israel, Ariel Sharon. The film is supplemented by 50 years worth of rare archival footage illustrating Sharon's early days in the military, the battlegrounds of the Yom Kippur War, Israeli newsreels after the slaughter at two prominent refugee camps, and ads from his campaign. The footage is interwoven with interviews with Sharon's allies, critics, and personal friends, as well as from journalists and historians who have studied the former general's incredible impact on the oft-disputed holy land.
