A portly lad (Y. Kataoka) from a wealthy family befriends his lean and poorer classmate Kenkichi (H. Sha) in this sentimental children's story from 1959. The two are seen going through the daily life at their school and competing in athletic events. This Japanese film was entered in the New York Children's Film Festival on April 16th, 1965.
