Synopsis by Jinko Labitag
Despite being viewed as a genius by everyone who knows him, Michelangelo Buonarroti (Alberto Testone) is not only struggling financially, but also physically and mentally due to his still unfinished project in the Sistine Chapel. When his commissioner and head of the Della Rovere nobility Pope Julius II dies and Leo X of the rival Medici family ascends to the papacy, Michelangelo finds himself trying to appease both sides. As his internal strife intensifies, he becomes tormented by suspicion and hallucinations, forcing him to examine his own failings. Directed by Andrey Konchalovskiy.
