Synopsis by Mark Deming
In 1981, Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel -- former musical partners who had a rancorous falling-out after the success of their album Bridge Over Troubled Water -- set aside their differences and reunited for a concert tour, with the New York City date being a free concert in Central Park. The Central Park show was recorded and videotaped for later release, and this home video release presents highlights from the show, with Simon and Garfunkel performing their hits as a duo as well as several of their solo hits. Selections include "Bridge Over Troubled Water," "The Sounds of Silence," "The Boxer," "Mrs. Robinson," "Still Crazy After All These Years," and "Late in the Evening."
