Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
A grown man stuck in a perpetual state of arrested development is suddenly charged with caring for the twelve year-old son he never knew about in the 1980s-era sitcom that made child star Ricky Schroder a household name. Edward Stratton III (Joel Higgins) was a wealthy millionaire inn the midst of launching an ambitious toy company with more than a little help from friendly lawyer Leonard (Leonard Lightfoot and optimistic secretary Kate Erin Gray). Ricky (Schroeder) was a twelve year-old boy fresh out of military school and in need of a good home. Having never realized that his former wife birthed a child shortly after they split up, overgrown man-child Edward is forced to grow up well after his time when Ricky comes looking for a place to call home. In this, the first episode of the popular series, Ricky attempts to settle into his new home while struggling to deal with his newfound nemesis Derek (Jason Bateman).
