Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Written by M.A. Lonsdale, the curiously (but relevantly) titled British sitcom starred Cecile Chevreau as London journalist Stella Graham. The series' six half-hour episodes concentrated on Stella's love life, as she tried to choose between four eligible suitors. The candidates were a barrister (the "silk" referenced in the title), a designer (the "satin"), a business executive (the "cotton"), and a fellow newspaper reporter (the "rags"). Silk, Satin, Cotton, Rags aired live over the BBC from May 10 to June 14, 1952.
