Synopsis by Hal Erickson

The satirical British game show Shooting Stars was created by the comedy team of Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer, who doubled as the series' hosts. On each half-hour episode, two celebrity teams provided answers to funny and/or ridiculous questions for a grand prize of five pounds. Somewhere along the way, the players indulged in such wacky stunts as throwing cheese slices at pictures of prominent TV personalities, and performing their own off-key nightclub singing acts. Matt Lucas showed up as scorekeeper George Dawes, an overgrown diapered baby. Debuting September 26, 1993 over BBC2, Shooting Stars yielded 32 episodes over a three-year period.
