Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
Emmy-nominated filmmaker George Kachadorian challenges our common concepts of beauty by following a group of disabled photographers as they show us life from a fresh perspective. Courtney Bent was a fashion photographer whose definition of beauty was a thin model on a glossy magazine cover. Accepting an invitation to visit a facility for people with severe disabilities, Bent realized that the snapshots taken during her excursion reflected her own prejudices rather than the spirit of her subjects. As a result, Bent decided to design a series of cameras that would permit disabled shutterbugs to explore their surroundings. Later, the photographers were given the opportunity to display their works at a gallery show.
