Western star William Russell has his hands full in this picture -- as Bruce Bayard, he is trying to cure Ned Lytton (Robert Cain) of his alcohol problem, even though he loves Lytton's wife Ann (Helen Ferguson). Ned is not exactly grateful for this help -- in fact, he accuses Ann and Bayard of being lovers. This ornery character insists on taking his wife to a mine which he swindled out of the father of Benny Lynch (George Stewart). He refuses to listen to Bayard, who has pointed out that Lynch is likely to seek vengeance. There is a battle at the mine, and Bayard is not able to save Lytton from being shot by Lynch, just as he predicted. Ann, however, is clearly better off without Lytton, and with Bayard instead. This didn't have as much action as most of William Russell's other pictures, and focused more on the romance. It was adapted from a story, Bruce of Circle A, by Harold Titus, which was based on Bayard Taylor's poem, "Bedouin Love Song."
