Poverty Row regular Benjamin F. Wilson and his frequent leading lady, Neva Gerber, starred in this miniscule silent Western about a sheriff whose girlfriend, the schoolteacher, is apparently harboring a fugitive from justice. The schoolteacher and her house "guest" escape to New York with the sheriff in hot pursuit. As it turns out, the fugitive, who was framed in a bank heist, is the schoolmarm's brother. Wilson and Gerber were supported in this film by one of Rin-Tin-Tin's many imitators, Fang. Produced and directed by Wilson, The Sheriff's Girl was released on the states rights market by Arrow.
