Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Moving Picture World was being very kind to this drama when it claimed it "does not surpass the mediocre mark." It's based on that tired scenario of the self-sacrificing sister who will do anything to protect her wayward brother. Coal is discovered on land owned by Dave Hoskins (John Mordaunt), so he moves to the city with his two children, Mul (Jackie Saunders) and Joe (Alfred Lewis). Joe, like so many before him (at least in the movies), falls in with a "bad crowd" and soon is leading a life of crime. He lands in jail for robbery, and to save her father from grief, Mul keeps it a secret. Joe escapes and gets himself embroiled in yet another robbery. Once again, Mul comes to the rescue and shields him. Charles Osborne (Fred Stonehouse) is in love with Mul, and he misunderstands all the attention she is paying to this young man. When Joe dies, Mul is able to explain everything to Osborne, and together they keep Joe's past a secret from poor old Pa Hoskins.
