Synopsis by Rose of Sharon Winter

This documentary takes the viewer off the coast of California for a closer look at one of the world's most dangerous predators: the great white shark. Although the favorite food of this massive killer are fatty mammals like sea lions and elephant seals, sharks are opportunists who will eat anything in their path, including humans. Some of the film's most interesting moments are interviews with survivors of shark attacks. Marine scientists provide insight into the nature of these sea creatures and reveal facts about their killing cycles. They also destroy a few myths about sharks at the same time. Film makers provide images of shark attacks from both the annals of fiction and real life.
