Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Even though he pays all her bills, Herbert Porter (Montagu Love) refuses to give his wife Helen (Barbara Castleton) any cash. So she heads to a gambling hall with Mrs. Crest (Julia Swayne Gordon), but instead of making any money, she loses five hundred dollars which she doesn't have. She pawns her jewels and sell her clothes to pay the debt, and finally she steals a ring from a Prince. She takes the ring to pawnbroker Milton Manning (Macey Harlam), who recognizes it. He threatens to call the police and tell Hebert about the theft, but Helen begs for mercy. He takes the ring on the condition that she meet him that night. She agrees, but her husband follows her as Manning takes her to his country home. Both she and Herbert -- who is watching them through a window -- are carrying guns. But instead of seducing her, Manning brings out his two younger sisters (Gladys Feldmen and Sallie Tysha) and uses Helen to give them a lesson on the "shams of society." He returns the ring to the Prince, and the Porters learn a valuable lesson.
