Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Stalwart Conway Tearle is a soldier of fortune in this seafaring adventure film. Captain Dick Carson (Tearle) is headed for California while attempting to elude government officers who want to arrest him. He comes ashore near the home of Dr. Jordan (J. Barney Sherry), whose wife, Dorothy (Doris Kenyon), is having an affair with Ralph Dean (Arthur Housman). Because he has been wounded by one of the officers pursuing him, Carson is compelled to stay at the Jordan residence and he becomes embroiled in the couple's affairs. Dean is responsible for Jordan's death, and Carson, who has come to hate both Dorothy and Dean, takes them both onboard his ship. He tries to make their lives miserable by forcing them to be together, but instead he winds up falling in love with Dorothy himself. Dean reveals himself to be a scoundrel, and in the end, Carson saves Dorothy from him.
