A battle of sensibilities erupts in this period drama from director Rod Hardy set in early 20th century Australia. When Kate, a young female doctor, moves to a rural island community, she has trouble finding acceptance among the locals. Eventually Vic takes a liking to her, but this news doesn't go over well with his brother Michael, who also happens to be a priest. As tensions rise between Kate and Michael, it becomes more and more apparent that there may be more to Michael's feelings than meets the eye.
