Produced far away from Hollywood by J.J. Fleming, this lumber camp melodrama was directed by and starred B-Western villain Al Ferguson. Ferguson played Richard Dunbar, a drifter who believes he has killed a crooked gambler in a fight. Hiding out under an assumed name in an Oregonian lumber camp, Dunbar falls in love with Betty Allison (Pauline Curley), to the dismay of Betty's current beau, foreman Bull Hawkins (Les Bates). Hawkins challenges Dunbar to a fight, but remembering the consequences of his last brawl, the newcomer declines and leaves the camp in disgrace. Dunbar, of course, later learns that the gambler he thought that he had killed is still very much alive and returns to the camp to take Hawkins up on his offer. This film was one of five outdoor melodramas produced by Fleming on locations in Oregon.
