Synopsis by Tracie Cooper
Centered on the sudden occurrence of gender-switching salmon in the Columbia River, Sex, Salmon, Secrecy provides a close look at not only the mysterious happening itself, but the relationship the people of Washington State have with their environment, the Hanford Nuclear Facility responsible for roughly 50 miles of highly radioactive river water, and the veil of government secrecy surrounding the issue as a whole. The film includes interviews with locals and environmentalist representatives, as well as various health and government figures. This half-hour documentary was directed by Moon Callison.
