Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
Two childhood friends from Newark, NJ, find themselves locked in a tragic collision course when one makes it his mission to rule the streets, and the other takes a vow to uphold the law. Out on the streets, Nat Turner goes by the name Hakeem Johnson. Hakeem is the leader of the Notorious Street Blood Gang, a ruthless band of thugs that takes what they want, and kills anyone who gets in their way. In the wake of a botched robbery, Hakeem finds himself behind bars as his lifelong friend Ike escapes to military school. Years later, Ike is on his way to becoming a police officer and Hakeem has hatched a plan to become the biggest criminal kingpin in New Jersey. Meanwhile, as the Feds build a case against Hakeem, his former sidekick is forced to choose between childhood loyalties and building a future where regular citizens can walk the streets without fear of falling victim to street violence.
