Synopsis by Janiss Garza
In spite of its steamy title, there was nothing particularly salacious about this six-reeler. After the death of her uncle and guardian, Rose Bernton (Louise Vale) is taken in by the Reynolds family. The Reynolds son Arthur (James Morrison) has lost his mind and vanished, and since he was unable to reveal his identity, he was adopted by Colonel Denby. Ever since Arthur's disappearance, Mrs. Reynolds has been depressed, and she is easily replaced in Mr. Reynolds' affections by Rose. He sends his wife away and plans to divorce her. But Mrs. Reynolds goes to a hotel where Colonel Denby and Arthur are staying. When he hears his mother's voice, Arthur's memory comes back and he returns to his parents' home. Mr. Reynolds isn't there, so Arthur takes the opportunity to romance Rose. He is successful, and when his father returns to find the two of them together, Arthur explains that he was just trying to show him what kind of woman Rose really was. Rose is tossed out of the house and the Reynolds family is reunited.
