Synopsis by Robert Firsching
Soledad Miranda stars as Anne, a single woman forced to harbor a fugitive from an asylum in this rarely seen adult drama directed by cult filmmaker Jesus Franco. Anne lives alone in a cottage, and the escaped maniac (Paul Muller) forces his way into her home, vowing not to harm her if she does not alert the authorities. In order to stay awake and prevent Anne from getting help, he makes her tell him a story. Inspired by her situation, Anne spins a fanciful narrative concerning a young girl who escapes from her imprisonment by savages only to find herself yearning for a return to bondage. Howard Vernon, Maria Rohm, and Diana Lorys co-star in this oddly compelling exploitation piece from Liechtenstein. Well-photographed by Manuel Merino and scored by frequent Franco collaborator Bruno Nicolai, this obscure rarity is worthwhile viewing for fans of the director.
